  • Window Shades-revisited

Posted by Brian on February 17, 2020 at 10:48 am

In the distant past there were a couple of threads dealing with the adjustment of window shades that have the black and yellow limit buttons on the end. Am confused as to the sequence of adjustment and have “adjusted” my shades so as to make them unusable. Has anyone successfully defeated this problem? Knowing the manufacturer would be a good start but the only printed information on my shades deals with the dangers of child strangulation with the cords these shades do not have.

    Brain:

Don’t have these shades on my current coach but have dealt with them on previous coaches and boats too.

Don’t know your exact model but adjustment is fairly simple. One button/tab (yellow/black button/tab) is to set the up travel distance and the other is to set the down travel distance.

Push the button/tab in (it should click in/stay in that position) run the blind up to the position you want it to stop, while it is running push the button/tab in again to set the stop position.

Push the button/tab in (it should click in/stay in that position) run the blind down to the position you want it to stop, while it is running push the button/tab in again to set the down position.

Depends on if the blind was wired correctly as to which button/tab is up & which one is down. Just start the blind running and push one button or the other, you will quickly find out which one is up side set button and which one is down side set button.

Thank you Chuck. It took some experimenting but your instructions were right on.

    Cheers
