Ronald,
Some of those Ad’s say no contract. Is it better to have a contract or not? If it’s a contract, will Verizon discontinue the unlimited at time of renewal?
-
that is what guarantees you the unlimited data at a fixed rate for the period of the contract for the GRANDFATHERED data line.
If there is no contract, you pay whatever Verizon will ask for.
You are right, not many offers left on eBay. There is one right now @ $99 that would cost you $110 per month for minutes, messages and unlimited data. The line appears to be under contract until July 13, 2015.
I am convinced that Verizon will not renew these contracts once they have expired. Why should they give away unlimited data for $29.99 when they could get 5-10 times that for a limited amount of data.
I am fortunate to have bought a line which is under contract until Oct 2016. In these 2 years, a lot will be happening in the communication world and we may have access to more for less when that time comes around. Hopefully.

Another option for Liberty owners: Have Liberty upgrade your equipment and add in a network card and router. They then sell you service through their account for $80/month, unlimited.

Karl: If you park the motorcoach close enough to your house, can you use the coach as an Internet hot spot and have Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the house? Can you essentially kill two birds with one stone? Thanks!
-
No doubt you can. You would just connect to the coach wifi. I would guess that they wouldn’t appreciate it though. Presumably there is some data limit shared between everybody and theoretically, with intermittent coach use, there won’t be enough people on in any given month to go over that limit.
