Your original tires were 12R22.5. The 305 tires you likely have were designed for RV applications so either replace them with the same or go to the Michelin site and based on your anticipated use select the most appropriate tire.

if you have an 8.25 inch wide alloy steer and tag and outer drive wheels, you can up grade to 315/80/22.5. Michelin has created a separate tire pressure chart for 315’s on 8.25 inch wide wheels. If you have 9 inch wide wheels, your still gonna have an 8.25 inch wide inner steel drive wheel. In that case put same psi in all 315’s per weight carried. When we owned our 1992 XL40 we replaced 12R’s with 315’s. No issue great ride since Michelins on 8.25 inch wide wheels carry less psi for weight carried than a 9 inch wheel to prevent more round thread footprint of “pinching” a 315 on 8.25 inch wide wheel

Put new XLEZ’s on ours last year. Replaced the 2011/2012 dated XZA2’s. Honestly can’t tell any difference, still rides like a pillow.

Supposedly the XLEZ’s are an “updated/advanced” tire according to Michelin dealer. The XZA2’s (as of last year) were still available from Prevost due to the fact they were USA made.

The XLEZ’s came from Germany and France. Once the XLEZ’s are mfg. here I’m guessing that’s what Prevost will sell also.
