  • Where to find: Engine Model Number

Posted by Marshall on March 5, 2022 at 11:39 am

I am in the process of replacing my ECU (DDEC V) due to a failed Real Time Clock backup battery. In order for them to program the correct options in the DDEC software, they need an “Engine Model Number”.

I suspect it’s on the engine somewhere, but does anyone know where?

By any chance is it on paperwork anywhere?

    The sequence starts with 6067…….

    Thanks…..Marshall

Bus passenger side of cylinder head, below valve/rocker cover, above intake,

Look back and to the left of the alternator. There are 2 or 3 Detroit identification decals in that area.
