  • Wheats so special about 90 PSI

Posted by Chuck & Katrina on May 28, 2023 at 8:52 pm

Had a lot of air leaks when I first got my coach. Fixed the brake system air leaks first (all new brake chambers & new lines where needed) (all new air bags, Norgen valves, new psi regulators, And replaced 90% of the push on fittings).

Now both front and back tanks AND the aux tank leak down to 90 psi overnight, then all tanks will sit at 90 psi for about a week and a half. After that all the tanks slowly leak the remaining amount out over the next couple of weeks.

Getting my leaks slowed down to this level is great but why do ALL the tanks drop quickly to 90 psi then hold that psi for an extended period of time?

Did you change PP-1 parking brake valve? Have you aired up the system (all tanks) and then drain aux tank to see if main and secondary tanks follow? I just had to take apart my check valve in my front secondary, it had just a little piece of something in it. Now all good.

    Art:

Did not replace the Parking brake valve, I have done the tank drain on the Aux and the other two tanks stayed up.

Just find it weird that all tanks go down to 90 PSI overnight then all tanks stay at 90 Psi for an extended period of time
