Water level indicator on the drivers side.
Copilot seat positioned to swivel 180 deg.
Built in water softener.
Electrically heated floors.
Air conditioner filters easily accesible and to slide in and out, maybe disposable.
Full size stakable washer and dryer.
Air hose on a reel.
Water hose on a reel.

A lot of Jim’s wish list is possible, some not very expensively, some costing some serious money.
For example, I thought our co-pilot seat wouldn’t turn because of its size. It would start to turn until it hit the cabinet. When I redid the floor I removed the seat, and in re-installing it I moved it using the adjustments and with it moved forward, it rotates to become a part of the living room. Amazing what we can learn by accident.
A closet becomes the location for the W&D, next time the floor is redone is the time to add the heating feature, adding tank monitors is easy as long as you can string wire, and having hoses on reels is as easy as finding room for the reels and running the plumbing for air and water. The only impediment to having our coaches exactly how we want them is ……………………money.

For us unfortunate manual guys, a water and electric reel. Next would be a stacker washer/dryer to replace that piece of crap non-vented combo.

I say stay away from ZipDUD! I have had numerous problems with the ones on my 2008 Legendary and ZipDUD did not stand behind the product at all. I would gladly switch to another brand before getting anything from them again.
I will say that the 4 folding chairs still work, but can’t say that about the awnings. The motors are junk, and they know it. They shipped me the wrong one, admitted it, and made me pay for shipping BOTH ways. They said the motor got wet…go figure, it is outside the bus. Then in the instructions with the new motor say to drill holes in the housing to let water get out.
They have issues, but the customer is supposed to pay to resolve them. They can go out of business tomorrow for all I care.

Maybe I will rethink the awning uprade or as it seems downgrade I do not have any trouble with Girards, If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

That’s a shame to hear Zip Dee is not standing behind the newer awnings. All I have ever had has been manual Zip Dee’s and they are the best in the industry, IMO.
I did have a piece of junk electric awning on a plastic CC from Colorado and I wouldn’t put one of those on my riding mower.

Hello everyone, we are new on this forum.
Having just purchased this H340, I would love to replace the J lounge dinette with the standard 2 benches facing each other or a table and chairs. Also replace the curbside couch with a laptop desk/work area and one of those swivel recliners that we see a lot of.
Can anyone recommend someone in the Florida area for this? I have been in touch with Excalibur in Sanford, but they are extremely busy with much larger projects.

Georges,
Welcome aboard. I don’t know where you are located, or where you want to do the work, but I would not hesitate to contact the converters on this site to see if this is something they will quote. Since all the converters do this kind of work I suspect every one has the ability to do exactly what you want.
What you describe gets into virtually every area of skills, including possibly flooring, hard surface countertop fabrication, upholstery, and likely some electrical work so choose carefully if you opt to not use a converter. The project is bigger than it sounds.
Good luck.

Thanks Jon,
I never thought about the flooring and electrical work, but you are right.
Of course our other option (and perhaps less $$ in th long run) is to sell this one, and buy one that has the interior we are looking for, or trade for an XL.

George, I have a friend Arnold, his classic statment about concerns such as yours is “live with it for awhile you’ll learn to like it”.
Good luck!

Georges – I know you asked for references in Florida, but I think you would also be well served to contact Rob Russell of Russell Coach in Knoxville, TN. Rob takes care of my bus, Evangeline, and does incredible conversion work and upgrades of all kinds! http://www.russellcoach.com/

Welcome Georges, we’re glad you found us. I think we now have 2 or 3 H-3 40’s on here, so you have lots of company. Any of our Advertisers would be a good place to go and if you’re near Sanford, don’t forget Millennium.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and the good advice.
It is I, rather than my wife that doesn’t like the dinette configuration (since I do all the cooking and serving……… she only does the dishes!). But she is the one that wants the office style setup in the front instead of the second couch. So we always agree 50/50.
