    What Does This Pin Do?????

    We have a new brake caliper (hub & rotor also) for passenger side drive axle. The new caliper has a pin (pictures below) that the old one did not have. I have looked in every parts manual and service manual that I can think of including the Knorr-Bremse Disc Brake Service Manual, and I can not find a description, name, or purpose for the pin.

    What does this pin do????

    I used the RP618A procedure to set the wheel bearing. I’ve included a picture of the final check of the wheel bearing end play just for giggles.
