What did you do with your bus today
today I replaced the over the road air conditioner condenser fan.
After last years trip I noticed the fan for the air conditioner condenser was making funny sounds and after inspection I noted there was a lot of play in the bearings, you could move the shaft up and down. so over the winter I removed the fan assembly by removing 8 bolts from the underside of the coach disconnected the power wires and was able to slide the whole unit out in one piece. it would be impossible to work on while in the coach. I took the fan shroud off and fans and was able to find a electric motor repair facility that rebuilt the motor including rewinding and a new commutator. and $1500.00 later it works fine it took a total of 5 hours to remove and replace your time may be different.
