Painted and added four coats of clear to front top and fender trim pieces.

I replaced the air cylinder that extends the foot rest over the entry stair well. I had noticed a leak in the steering compartment and after trouble shooting the problem I figured out it was caused by air getting past the seals of the air cylinder that extends the step. Ordered parts from American Cylinder and after a little ripping and tearing the cylinder was replaced. Ps: all this was done on a 1986 Royal XL with crusair in the spare tire area, the leak of air was coming from a Mac 3 way valve in the steering compartment regardless of step position. a check with the factory they indicated the only way for air to be escaping from the valve was a bad seal in the air cylinder. I accessed the air cylinder by removing the carpet and it exposed the 6 to 8 screws holding the slide out step in place and after disconnecting the ram and all the screws I was able to lift the upper part along with the front of the step. there were 4 screws that held the ram in place and 2 air lines. I was able to get a part number and called the O.E.M. American Cylinder out of Peotone IL. (708)258-3980 my part number was 750DV-22 that translates to a 3/4 inch cylinder with a 22 inch throw dual Action. I rebuilt the bracket that held the cylinder. checked alignment and reinstalled the parts. for now everything is working as advertised.

What kind of coach do you have?
How did you get at the cylinder? Go in behind the front bumper? Do you have Cruise-Airs behind the front bumper? Or is there another “way in”?

I’ve had an air leak in my driver-side wiper motor since I bought the coach. It barely functions unless the air pressure is really up there. I finally took the motor apart today to see what was going on, and found that three of the tiny o-rings look a little flat. I had two spares, so I pieced together the best four of the bunch and reassembled. These Sprague Air Push II motors are a pain to reassemble with everything clocked correctly and O-rings in place, but I got it done. The leak is greatly reduced and the motor functions much better, so I’ll order some new O-rings and finish the job soon.

I tried Jeff and made a mount for the rear bumper but when I let the jack down it jerked the front wheels up 2 feet off the ground. Sooo, the Carrier O5G is still for sale or give away to a needy Prevost owner.

Today I Installed an LED third Brake light and replaced all my docking lights with LED lighting.

Mike: what kind of LED light did you use for the docking replacement? I’m having trouble placing where it is on the coach.
