Webasto Tech Tip Learning the Hard Way
Here is a little video that is 26 minutes long on how I bled the air out of the Webasto in my Marathon coach not yours. When you have small air pockets in the 100 feet of coolant line that is installed by coach builder and since the system is closed looped it will blow your overheat fuse since the coolant cannot flow with air in lines. You get air in the line ….by losing coolant when rebuilding or replacing the solenoid valve(s) that are 20 years old. Even though I thought I had bleed the system throughly I was still blowing the overheat fuse.
So after a few $50.00 fuses, checking continuity on thermostats, replacing a bad ignition relay, and talking to many experts ….. Webasto Tech support, Rudy, and Sure Marine Tech Help. I put this video together today after firing the system up. Tech Support at Sure Marine set my light bulb off for me ..why…. because he told me the coolant pump cannot suck coolant just push it. The coolant pump uses head pressure only of coolant in line for a close loop system so he said fill the coolant tank to the top. I hope this video has good info for the DYI’r. Don’t mind the noise…I and not a videographer.
