Robert,
I need to know the model of the Webesto Burner. The one I am familiar with is the 50K BTU burner. Some are installing the 80K BTU burner for which I have no experience.
I also need to know if the light in the inside switch stays on when the burner will not restart. If the light is off, the burner has faulted for some reason.
A burner that faults while burning can be caused by the flame sensor’s resistance increasing as it heats up finally stopping the fire. Or the conrol unit loosing contact with the control thermostat stopping the fire. With everything being new, the above is not likely.
Running out of fuel is another reason. You need more, more the better, than 1/4 tank of fuel to run the burner. The supply fuel line to the burner leaking air is another cause. This is a new install so maybe something did not get tightened correctly.
Wish I was there to use my test box to see what is going on. If you can be at the burner with a volt/ohm meter, please call me and I will see what I can do over the phone with you all. I am available via the phone after 8 am till 8 pm most days including Sunday. If I can not talk when you call, I will call you back fairly soon. Most times I can talk when you call. This Sunday, I have a lunch get ogether from 11 am till 2 pm.
