  • Webasto Nozzle Replacement Tips / Tricks ??

Posted by Jeff on January 14, 2021 at 9:25 am

I have ordered a replacement nozzle for my 80K BTU Webasto and plan to install it as soon as it arrives.

I did a forum search for “Webasto” and read all posts for the past five years hoping to find something describing the actual replacement process.

For those who have done this themselves, once the unit is opened, is the actual nozzle replacement procedure straight forward, as in, simply removing & replacing? is the use of fuel hose clamps necessary?

Any experience tips, tricks, advice appreciated. THANK YOU, Jeff

    P. S. – will also clean the combustion chamber, flame sensor, etc

It is pretty straightforward. Swing the burner assembly out of the way-it hinges. Replace nozzle. While you have the burner open, make sure the ignitor tips are in the proper place (there is a gauge for that). Also make sure the flame detection window is not sooted up.

Do not forget the procedure to properly seat the nozzle. Install and tighten nozzle, loosen nozzle, re-tightennozzle. This procedure is said to prevent fuel leakage around the threads of the nozzle.

Under the guiding hand of Rudy, a/k/a “the all-knowing guru of all things Webasto/Aquahot,” I have replaced the fuel pump, replaced the blower motor, and performed other Webasto related repairs. Rudy truly is the “Messiah” of the Webasto world.
