Mine is just like Dan’s, you hit the high heat button and the fan speed at least doubles.

mine dose not have high heat button it has one forced aux heat tried it no change in air flow

My previous 02 and current 04 Marathon H does not have the high heat button either, must have been an option.

After visiting one of our favorite areas in the country, Paso Robles,(got to meet Art Twaddell, fellow PCer) we have moved into snow country for a couple of weeks of snowmobiling. I have to brag on how well the webasto heats the bus and the bays, it’s a comfy 74 degrees inside, 65 in the bays, 9 outside.

Jon,I need to service my Webasto and I don’t find anything here on the Community about precautions with the fuel filter change. I do not see at the filter where I can isolate the diesel fuel from the filter. Do I need to worry about lots of diesel running out when I remove the filter? Is re-prime a problem? I would normally fill the new filter with fuel before I screw it on as a priming precaution, correct??I am getting lots of diesel exhaust fumes in the back suite. Do you suppose that is due to lack of service? I am guilty of not exercising the Webasto monthly. I plan on opening it up and changing the nozzle and cleaning out the combustion chamber. Do you suppose that will solve the fumes problem?

Here is a link to some hose pinch off pliers you could use on both sides of the filter to minimize getting air in the system.

Servicing the burner, cleaning the combustion chamber, cleaning the U-channels in the burn chamber, cleaning the flame sensor and replacing the nozzle cures a bunch of exhaust issues (smoking, smelling). A shop vac to suck up the loose soot is very helpful for a really neat and clean job. But not essential.
When installing the new nozzle, remember to tighten the nozzle, loosen the nozzle and re-tighten the nozzle. This insures the threads are seated.
When the filter to the burner is located below the top of the fuel tank, an open line can siphon fuel. So using hose pinch pliers up stream of the filter prevents this. Very little fuel will be spilled. But a rag or shop towel will be needed to catch a few drips.
The nozzle tower is backed up with a 3/4 inch open end wrench while the nozzle requires a 16 millimeter open end wrench. The preferred brand of nozzle is the brass colored Danfoss brand. Stainless steel colored Hago brand will work but experience with Webasto burners in the Aqua Hot heaters shows Danfoss works better for me.
There are many places to obtain Webasto parts. The owner of the Aqua Hot forum can answer Webasto questions with great authority. Roger Berke sells Aqua Hot and Webasto burner parts with a modest discount and no ground shipping on orders over $75. So a place that can supply and answer questions my be of interest to you. You will need to check with him for 80K BTU parts.

Jon P, when I change the Webasto fuel filter on my 2006 Liberty I have a new one filled with fuel ready to install. I spin the old one off and spin the new one on. I don’t have any issues with fuel leaking.

On my first coach, the filter was one of those little white plastic inline ones and you did have to pinch off the fuel lines to keep it from leaking out. This was on a 40,000 something BTU unit. The filter sat inside the housing of the unit.
My Liberty’s have both had a much larger spin on filter FWIW.

Just right Jon, that was my plan to have the new filter filled with fuel and ready to go. Was not sure if the fuel supply was under pressure and would flow or run out. I appreciate the help. Do you think the fume problem in the rear suite is due to my lack of maintenance?
