Mine was doing the same thing. Mounting screws for the fuel pump were loose. Tightened them, no more leaky!

If there is fuel inside of the burner case leaking out through the grommets for the fuel lines, it is a fuel pump shaft seal leak. Replace the pump to fix.

I had an issue with the fuel shutoff solenoid valve not closing completely. Fuel would puddle in the burner after it shutoff and then on subsequent start-up, I had significant smoke until it burnt off. It caused a major carbon build-up in the burner.

The fuel shutoff valve can be rebuilt without the solenoid being replaced if the electrical part is working OK.

I hope to get it apart on Saturday to at least look at the pump and fuel solenoid. Have not been feeling well, so have not worked on the bus for a few days.

I did finally figured out that the Model is a DW230, with 80,000 BTU output, and did find manuals on line that I down loaded.

The link Tom provided does have a lot of the parts, so I should be able to get what I need once I get into it.

I did get into mine, and the bolts on the fuel pump where just slightly loose. Tightened them and it stills drips.

I ordered a fuel pump seal kit, fuel solenoid rebuild kit and a new fuel nozzle. Will see if that fixes it, if not will wait for Rudy to look at it.

have you changed the nozzle recently. Mine was dripping out the tailpipe and I opened it up fired it up with it point away from the bus and I had a poor flame do to dirt nozzle, incomplete combustion. Replaced problem solved.

When replacing the nozzle, the procedure is to tighten the nozzle, loosen 1/4 turn and re-tighten the nozzle. This seats the treads of the brass nozzle into the brass nozzle tower.

Not using this procedure can, but not always, result in a new nozzle leaking fuel around the treads.

If you have the 80,000 btu burner, please bring parts for me to use. I can service it but carry parts for the 50,000 btu burner only.

Thanks for thinking of my service a bunch. A 50 amp plug in a huge 15,000 sqft covered area is waiting your arrival. Hope you can come by if for no other reason than just a visit. Same applies to all other forum members.

This is what I have found. It appears that fuel is leaking out of the back of the fuel pump where the shaft from the electric motor connects to the fuel pump.

I have Googled this to death and cannot find the pump on line, except maybe from the UK. Anyone ever order from this site?
