  • Webasto dash ligh

    Hi there,

Does anyone know why our webasto light would be illuminated on the dash but shows off on our AMX screens?

This is only a guess. The Webasto light seems to be on when I use the Webasto for heat, but even if I am not using the Webasto, but the OTR system is calling for heat such as when it is cold outside the light comes on.

When running with OTR, as Jon pointed out, the Webasto light will light periodically because it’s blending heat with the A/C to maintain the set temp.

Does the light mean the boiler is running (burning fuel) or that the pump is running? I don’t think I have a dash light for the Wesbato (might be burned out, there are SO MANY), but I’ve got an icon on the Crestron screen and I think that is on when the pump is running. Seems like the pump runs for a while after I’ve shut the Detroit down.

As long as engine coolant temp is above the Webasto temp cut in, the pump runs, but the burner does not. So you see the light, but the Webasto is not firing.
