  • Webasto Air Vent – Country Coach XL

Posted by John on December 5, 2016 at 6:49 pm

Country Coach installed an Amtrol air vent as part of the Webasto plumbing. The vent is leaking coolant so it needs to be replaced. There are no makings on the part, so after consulting with an HVAC supplier we ASSUMED that the part is rated at 150 PSI max and 240 degrees F max.. Anyone know for certain what the specs are for the part?

Coolant pressure would not be more than 15 +/- psi. 150 psi should be plenty

we also have a CC coach, I’m getting a small whisp of glycol smell in the aft portion of the bus via the air ducts. The Amtrol air vent you mention, where is it located? Is it under the bed with the heat exchanger?

I may have the same issue. If I do, what is the replacement part number & manufacturer?

Sorry for the late response. The vent is located next to the webasto enclosure. It looks like a copper/brass cylinder 1 1/2 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. We did not smell anythng in the bus but did smell coolant in the webasto area. I replaced it with a Watts 1/4″ FV – 4M1 rated at150 psi and 240 degrees F.
