Water Tank Fill Solenoid Valve
I experienced an issue while filling my water tank, when I hooked up and opened the ball valve to the city water line, my tank began filling immediately. I looked at my switches in the water bay and the tank fill switch was on, I tried to cycle the switch and it would not close the valve. I proceeded to troubleshoot my problem, I found that 27 volts was coming from line 51D, and the switch would not cut power, I removed the connector and the valve operated properly when disconnected. I traced the 51D wire to the computer in the electric bay, the switch would trigger the indicator light on the AB input module but nothing happened to the output signal. I was just about to call on help from PC, when it came to me what the problem was. The alarm had gone off on the fresh water Sentry to warn of low water, I hadn’t hook up to fresh water since we were at our lot in Indio, therefore when I hooked the water up I didn’t realize that the AUTO tank fill was on! The Fill sol. valve was opened and would not turn off until the tank was full, and since I only topped it up half way it continued to override the manual switch. Simply switching the SENTRY pump switch to Manual fixed everything. I thought I would share my story in the event someone else found a similar experience!

Owning a Prevost is almost like having to know the secret handshake or having a decoder ring.
I am sure every conversion has its little quirks or secrets. Life with a conversion would be so simple if all converters did the same thing with respect to anything from turning on the lights to operating the heat or AC systems, but they don’t and until a person learns how to get all the right buttons pushed nothing works. I have 6 Crestron touch pads.But only 2 have AC controls on them. But even if I found the right touch pad, the right page on the touch pad and then pushed the right icon, the AC would not work until I turned on the SMX control and had the correct circuit breakers turned on.
It’s no wonder it takes days of training to learn how to operate the coach.
