  • Water spots :(

Posted by Chas on June 15, 2015 at 11:07 pm

There are few things in life I hate more then water spots on stainless steel. It drives me crazy when an over priced RV “Resort” (glorified campground) sets up sprinklers and can’t use the proper heads or align them correctly to keep water from getting on their customers coaches. Heck, living in California for 16 year, I learned early on to get the proper heads and align them properly so I wasn’t watering my walkways. Concrete just doesn’t grow no matter how much you water it… So why would a place that claims its an RV resort not respect it’s customers and their coaches enough to aim their sprinkler systems so they are not getting water all over them?

What’s worse? When your spending a summer in an amazing spot, sitting on a full acre of green grass that is surrounded by a 65 acre horse farm and your wife sets the sprinkler so it waters half the coach? I can give a bad Yelp review to an RV park, I couldn’t find a section in Yelp on wives to give a bad review on?

But the free metal polish that Jon and Tom passed out at the PC rally last year in Tampa area worked wonders to get the spots out. Of course freeloading off of friends means there was no detailer for me to drop $200 on to take care of my issues 🙁

We had that problem 2 years ago up in the fla. panhandle. The resort wouldnt shut the damn sprinklers off. My cure was 5 half buckets from wally world at 1.25 each. dont leave home without them.

White vinegar and water mixed 50/50 takes the hard water spots off.

Drying the coach before the sun dries it for you keeps the water spots off. Those of you who wash your own coaches may have to wash and dry in sections to prevent premature drying.

Those with de-ionizers, water softeners, and magic no spot water systems are now going to chime in and tell you that you don’t have to dry your coach if you use the system they carry in their coach. They are silent however when it comes to discussing the water spots from the damn sprinklers.

    OK guys, pile on………………

……….and only $5 each! Supposed list price of $21. Next joke.

Can’t see where they even get $5 from. Must be a more cost effective solution elsewhere. Maybe a Dollar store?
