Water Inlet / Tank Flush
Water inlet/tank flush Jabsco Model 44410-2000 (original on our 2006 CC LXII) are apparently no longer available and superseded by 44412-2045. The problem is that the new one is larger and will not fit in the hole. I can enlarge the hole but the overall size of the unit will really squeeze the flange space.
Anyone have a solution or new old stock of the original?
Another approach would be to rebuild the original ones that currently spray out the front, I assume where they vent and prevent back flow to the city water system. They really don’t appear to be designed for rebuilding.

Chad, you will notice that the fitting on the back of those two are 90°. I need the straight fittings like the original.

What is the problem with the old one? Why does it need rebuilding or replacing?

Les, unit description refers to straight outlet not 90deg, you may need to call these places to get the correct pic send to you.
There is clarification down the page where it states that most of parts pictures are “stock” pictures and do NOT always reflected the part on hand.

John, these units have several functions. One is to act as a pressure reducer to prevent over pressurizing the water system. That is useful if it supplies water to the closed fresh water piping but in my application they are only used to fill the vented fresh water tank or flush the black and gray tanks. The second function is to prevent back flow from the tanks to the house/campground water supply. To meet some code requirements the fittings will vent to atmosphere when depressurized… or in in my case once they get old and jerked on by the hose, the flimsy fittings will leak out the vent and even spray back when pressurized.
Maybe with CLR or some other cleaner the fitting could be revitalized. I think that only delays the inevitable failure. I’m going to try to use a simple check valve inlet flange like this:

Okay, thanks for the explanation. The flush out hook up on my coach only serves one purpose. That’s to flush out the black water holding tank. The problem with this arrangement is that the spray nozzle in the tank gets clogged and it quits passing water. It can be cleaned, but it’s a PITA.
A possible solution maybe.
What about making up a short hose about six inches or so with both male and female connections and screw it into the existing receptacle without the rubber washer but sealing it with RTV. That would seal the joint and give you an easier connection to use to use than the original flush connection was.
