Nothing says anyone with a Watchdog has to use auto-start or power interruption feature. The Watchdog is also a device to shut down the generator in the event of a serious problem like low oil pressure or an over temp condition.

    It is a safety device.

Dick, Magnum AGS has been in use for a very long time on RVs that have no other automation. I would think that it is easy to set it up totally independent and let it do its thing, which as you have discovered is a lot.

Someone knowledgeable of a converter’s specific system could tell you if there would be any interference from a totally independent, non connected Magnum system.

I’m pretty sure Jeff (ETLC) said he could set up my Magnum’s with AGS and even tie it in to Crestron. I’ll probably look in to it when I convert to Li batteries and need to add the BMK module.
