Want start! 1999 Prevost Featherlite Vantare
Turn key on no power to instrument cluster.The green toggle switch to the right of key is lighting up. Can hear solenoids in rear engaging when I turn key switch on. All the surrounding switches around instrument cluster works like lights and etc. I don’t know if it is a fuse or relay or would the alarm disengage the cluster and starting switch also! Any ideals on where or what I could check? 1999 Prevost Vantare Featherlite H345

Does your bus have a dash switch that shuts down everything. This rocker switch is near the ignition key.
Are you familiar with what I’am talking about ?
How old are your batteries ?

Yes I am familiar with that switch is right beside ignition. It comes on and lights up green but switch may be bad!

Batteries are about 3 months old. I am outside of Atlanta! Have coach at a neighbors house but it needs to be moved it taking up there driveway!

Do you have any lights inside the dash / cluster other than the power green light?Not talking about the rocker switches around the dash…
Have you done any work in the engine area? Check the rear start rocker switch, make sure is on NORMAL.

No other lights on the instrument cluster. Just got off phone with a tech in Florida he seems to believe it’s the alarm. He told me to get inside coach lock and then unlock with key fob and it should reset. I am going to try that when I go over to the coach later today and see if that works.

Turn on key and turn on Master rocker switch just to right of key. Is the transmission selector lighting up? If not, open the rear hatch and flip the toggle switch, located just left of reserve oil tank, to the up position (Normal) I just went out to verify with my 2001 Vantare H3 and the alarm does not shut off the dash annunciation lights. Locked with fob, alarm light comes on and annunciator lights all glow with key and master switch in on position. Do as Doral says and check the switch in back. Hope this helps.

Cycle the remote start as Fred suggested. Just had a friend last week got shutdown in a driveway with a Marathon and it was the remote start switch, cycled a few times and all was well.

I may be off base on this but if the starter does not engage after the other suggestions, check the large bolt tightening down the power to the starter located on the lower right side of the engine. If it is lose, it will appear to be dead.
It can be reached by reaching over the engine batteries. Do not let the wrench contact the bolt and any other metal at the same time… there will be fireworks.

Hey Fred you were right on it about the main switch in the back of bus.It was in the off position-Put it in the upward position and that put the power up front.It fired right up.Thanks to everyone for the help-This forum is a wonderful place for help and information and has great people that comes together to help each other. Very appreciative of all the help.

Big Al, I learned that trick the hard way. Was wiping down engine and somehow bumped that switch into the center (off) position. Bus would not start to head out to West Palm, spent several hours looking at all the hard stuff first instead of the easy stuff. Over thinking it again.
