Very unusual Prevost
Posted by Mark on January 20, 2020 at 7:03 pmTake a look at this Prevost motorhome, it would take a certain owner for this beast. It’s only one of 46 ever built and only cost him $5000 to buy. Hopefully the link will work, if not just copy past in youtube.

Interesting, didn’t know how many they made. It has to be a maintenance nightmare.

FWIW, Di and I had an opportunity at a rally a long time ago to ride in one.
Despite its length, it was as easy to drive as a 40 foot coach. The one we rode in was new.

What an adventure for those kids!
I am amazed that they don’t have a shore cord.
We rode in one like that back in 1997 touring Canada from Vancouver to Anchorage, AK, traveling through the Yukon. The rear part of the bus beyond the accordion was a lounge and restroom.
The tour company had a ‘lead car’ warning oncoming traffic that a huge bus was coming. Good memories!

People said we were crazy when we took off with our three kids and dog for 15 months with our H3-45. It was an amazing trip, full of a lifetime of memories…. not a week goes by that one of us doesn’t mention something about the trip.
He’s a lot braver than me… but what an adventure and for 5K plus his mods why not?
Reminds me of a family that we met along the way while in St. Augustine… they were doing the same thing on a sailboat from Canada… 3 years…. They choose sailing because they determined it was the cheapest way to get around… didn’t have to pay RV resorts. The guy had never sailed. Went to school to learn to sail, trained as a mechanic and learned a lot about weather… They invited us onboard and they were roughing it compared to the prevost but what an adventure….
