On the subject of crankcase breather tube.

Is there any modification to catch the oil droplets that dribble occasionally from the tube?

Theoretically it is vapor coming out of the hose. If it condenses inside the hose it can be caught by securing a can under the hose, If it drips a lot of oil it is a good sign there is a lot of blowby from the engine and it will not be long before the engine needs some serious work.

Chuck… I secure a 24 ounce plastic sports drink bottle around the tube to collect any droplets. May sure it is not air tight. I also stuff a single paper towel in the bottle. My tow vehicle and garage floor stay clean. Secure with a zip tie after drilling a through and though hole near the top of the bottle. Have never needed to empty it.

    Jon:

Usually end up with a single drop or two on the garage floor after parking it. Not a big issue, but a nuisance.

See what I told you in another post about Chuck’s garage floor?
