Vantare H Bay TV Install
Step 1 in our AV update project pretty straight forward…swap out bdrm tv for HD flat screen. Involved only modifying tv stand and making a filler piece for the top.
The next step was to replace the old outside tv. For the best location we decided to use bay #3 which also houses the Gen-Set cabinet. I looked,
at Jerry Barkers Vantare which had that set-up and simplifed it considerably. The following pictures depict a 46″ LED tv with a Sony sound bar installed in front of the Gen-Set cabinet. The tv with the articulated arm lifts out of the mounting bracket. The tv swings out far enough to open the RH cabinet door 90% allowing normal Gen-Set service. In the event that would require removal of the cabinet and generator the bracket on the bay wall is held on by 4 bolts. Had to slightly modify an off the shelf tv wall mount. The bass component of the sound bar is located in the old bay tv cabinet in bay #2. For travel there is a fleece lined weather proof zippered cover and two pieces of foam glued onto the inside of the bay door to keep the tv from moving against the door. Now to Jeff’s after OKC to get the HD traveler Dish installed. -

The TV being in front of the Gen Set is one of my favorite options on my bus.
