Vantare Burlwood Tabletops
Folks,
I’ve been looking at ’02 thru ’04 Vantare conversions and on many the burlwood tabletops, window sills, and trim work have excessively clouded urethane, sometimes to the point where the wood is totally obscured by a yellow haze. Anyone know of a process to restore these surfaces? What’s the best plan of action? Anyone have a contact for a capable shop to do the work? Any clues as to what causes the yellowing?

Beaver coaches were known for the wood workmanship until Monaco took over and some of the cabinets started to haze or cloud from heat. If you go to the BAC forum you can search this problem and I know some people found a fix and others were just ruined. Maybe you can get a few ideas.

Donnie Myers RV Service in Sanford, FL changed all of the burlwood in our coach to granite. Looks great. We had the problem you mentioned. Made a huge difference in the coach.
