Using old torque plate bolts
Bolts broke right off and caliper was rolling around, this is what could happen if you use old torque plate bolts, we just did one at shop the other day

This was on a entertainer coach, not on my coach but was at are shop, took guys hour and a half to do job and bus was back on road , when they got all the parts -
The set of pads I recieved came with new bolts .pins. spring plate and even new cotter pins. even a adapter sockett to run the slack adjuster in/out. reason to use old parts? Just a observation.. Bob

I don’t know what impact Peter is having on Prevost, but I know for a fact if they have to remove the caliper on Knorr-Bremse brakes they have not used new bolts for the replacement and they have not torqued them to 450 foot pounds
I hope that has changed because in their class Bendix makes it a point to stress the bolts have to be at 450 foot pounds at which point they are stretched and not reusable.

Bob new calipers do not come with new torque plate bolts they are not Bendix part it has to come from Prevost
the pics are from a coach that broke down and we fixed it they had put new calipers on about two years ago and used old bolts that’s why they broke off it also had to have new rotor also -
I realized it soon after I posted. had that senior moment. need to think before typeing. The install kit did not include the new bolts! Was impressed how much it did contain. bob
