  Used Oil Analysis

  Engine=12.7 Ltr DD60s, manufactured 6 of 95, 470hp, 76,000 miles since new.

  Oil= 1 gal of Amsoil AMO 10-40w and 9 gals of Shell Rotella T3 15-40w, 8000 miles and 14 mths. 2 Fleetgaurd LF9620 oil filters were installed back then too.

  Analysis Co.= Oil Analyzers Inc. = OAI. I have used them for 5yrs on many of our vehicles. Their recommendations are more ocnservative than Blackstones.

  All #s are 0 unless you see them here: Iron=16, Copper=7,Silver=1, Molybdenum=11, Boron=67, Calcium=2930, Phosphorous=1106, Zinc=1434, Fuel Dilution <1%, Soot <.1%, Water<.1%, Viscosity 100c=14.6, TBN=6.50, Oxidation=19, Nitration=7.

  I’m happy with these results. Their(OAI) comment was: Data Normal and does not indicate an immediate need for maintenance action. Continue to observe and monitor equipmnt and fluid conditions.

  I changed the oil and filters when I took the sample. IMO I could have gone another 4000 miles before this oils additive package would have been used up(TBN<2.0).
