It should be repairable given its simple, low-tech design using transistors vs ICs or microcontrollers. Solder cracks on relay contacts are a common failure point due to vibration. The other area to look at are electrolyte capacitors (tall cylindrical objects). Look for discolorization or leaks etc. Easy and cheap to replace just pay attention to polarity. There was a whole generation of electronics that were tainted by bad caps from Taiwan and would fail after several years of use. I guess that controller pre-dates that era. Good luck

I had to throw in the towel and buy a new Webasto Controller. Ordered from Prevost just like DKO at the same price and the Controller is made by the same company, but mine looks like the originals. I just assumed I would get one like DKO’s, but didn’t. Works great, that’s all that matters.

I got all my wiring diagrams for our Vantare from http://www.featherlitecoaches.com all they needed was my coach number… they may be of help to you…Shannon Adams was a wonderful help.

Tom, the plastic control box I purchased was defective. I ordered another one and it looks like the one you received. A Prevost rep told me that Spheros owns Webasto now. Take that for what it is worth.
One problem with the second control box. It has obviously been installed before. You can see the scratches from the bracket in the picture above and in this one closer up.
It was very, very cold and Christmas Eve so I installed it anyway and it works fine so far. It shipped from Prevost in Ft. Worth so I will call them next week and ask them about it.

Don’t let them get away with that! Make them send you a new one and get a discount to boot. I can’t believe they would sell you a used electrical component, that’s just no right.

No.. I didn’t email them I called them and was directed to Shannon Adams who was very helpful… it took her a couple of days to get it together for me, then she sent me 3 emails containing the original build sheet, electrical diagrams, and Vantare user info.
Be sure to have your coach number available for her.
