‘Twas The Night Before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro’ the community,
Not a creature was stirring, but there was some nudity
The stockings were hung in the bus with care,
As Jon sat with a smile in his Christmas underwear;
Most were snuggled in, all warm in their bed,
While visions of warm weather danc’d in their heads,
And Mama in her ‘kerchief, and Tom loving his bride,
Shouted quite loudly, “who ordered that a slide”?
When out from the office there arose such a clatter,
Jeff sprang with an invoice as what more could matter.
Tom looked at the numbers and flew like a flash,
Tore open the window yelling “these prices are trash“
Jon was all smiles knowing Tom has to pay.
Secure in the knowledge dues are coming my way.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a Beaver Coach and eight cans of beer,
With a tall handsome driver, so happy to carry,
I knew in a moment it could only be Harry!
More rapid than a Prevost his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and call’d them by name:
“Now! Marathon, now! Liberty, now! Country Coach, and Featherlite,
“On! Emerald, on! Millennium, on! American by sight;
With every one we all took delight.
“We sat on the porch looking over top of the wall!
“Now drive away! Drive away! Drive away all!”
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight-
Happy Christmas to all, and you’re all just right!
