  • TV Antenna ?

Posted by Art on February 15, 2019 at 9:35 am

Need to replace old TV antenna on coach, The old antenna is a large round unit that has a motor inside of it and I would like to replace it with a multi directional antenna that is fixed and does not move. Anyone have thoughts on that? We have a satellite but it does not get local channels and the trees don’t help either.

Art check out Winegard. They have a unit called Air 360, And I believe the other one is called Moto Razor 360.

I had the Razor on my coach and it worked great.

Sitting at Jeff Rowe’s place it would get around 25 chanells.

    30 miles south of Knoxville.

That’s interesting to hear that the Winegard Razor Automatic worked well on your Prevost. The instructions say that installing ON or near metal can interfere with reception.

I too put a rayzar on the Liberty. It was excellent at finding and receiving air signals. But before I would buy another, I would find out if Winegard has addressed the weak motor that rotates the antenna. It most often burns out apparently. There are many consumer reviews that corroborate this.

Yes, my razr pooped out with an error – I will say though that I called them up and explained it and since I was within the warranty the just sent me another one. At least there’s that.

It still works it’s just the motor that turns it doesn’t. The motor is supposed to figure out the best position for The antenna when you park.

    Now…. I just have to install the replacement I got…. say… 7 months ago!

Yep, I got the dreaded E-3 error on two Razors. They stand behind them, but the garage is getting full of broken antennas.
