Turning Stone Resort Casino,Verona, NY
We are on our way back to NH and were looking for a place to overnight in Upstate NY off of I-90.
Since we were also looking for having a bite to eat, we chose Turning Stone Resort Casino In Verona, NY.
They do have a RV park which is laid out similar to Disney’s Fort Wilderness in Orlando. The roads inside the park are wide and paved. So are the sites (asphalt). Most sites are back-ins and or pull-ins and all FHU with 50/30/20 amps. They do have a few pull-throughs and we were lucky to get the longest one at 90 feet. Getting into that site was fun. I had to do a 90 degrees left turn off of the main road, followed by a 90 degrees right turn into the site within about 50 feet. And mind you, we are towing a 25ft trailer. Got in on the first try and life was good. The attached photo may give you a sense of the site.
The campground is about 1/4 mile away from the resort casino and they run a free shuttle on demand! They do have several restaurants inside the resort complex as well as shopping and entertainment. If gambling is your thing, you are at the right place.
The discounted rate was $39.00 and we think that is inexpensive for what you get. This is a place where one could stay for more than a day.
Heated swimming pool. Walking trails etc.
