  • Turbo boost gauge

Although I don’t seem to have lost performance and fuel mileage does’ seem any wose than usual, I seem to have lost my turbo boost gauge.

We just left Pelican Lake in Florida and while heading north to Sevierville gauge shows nothing.

I have heard of palm rats gnawing on various parts of wiring and hoses and maybe that is my problem.

Until the sun rises and the rain subsides I thought I would ask here. Is it possible that the turbo has failed? If it is the sensor wire/hose, where is it connected to the turbo on an 8V-92TA? Am I in big trouble, and as usual, don’t know it?

    Thanks for any advice

Chuck, if and when the turbo fails you will have no doubt. Black smoke and a lazy performance will make it very clear your turbo is failed.

I suspect you are correct in that it is a problem with the line to the pressure gauge.
