  • Tu-Flo-750 Compressor air filter?

Posted by Art on December 15, 2020 at 5:55 pm

So the inlet port on the Tu-Flo-750 compressor where the filter should be in goes to intake manifold? seems a little odd to me, but I don’t know diesel’s very well. On back of head there is a oblong fitting that has a hose on it that connects to manifold, how does that work?? and the brass fitting is it a pressure relief valve?

Art the reason inlet for compressor is hooked up to air intake that air is filtered by engine air filter no need for separate filter ,plus it is seeing boost pressure giving it. Plenty of air.

The compressor on my coaches did not pull air from the intake manifold but from the air downstream from the air filter which is the supply to the turbo, not the engine.

Would you call that the intake manifold? and is the brass part on compressor head a pressure relief valve?
