You’ll most likely will need to use an Allison HT 740 (4 speed) or maybe HT 750CR (5 speed). Do you know which differential ratio you have??

i dont know my ratio off hand but it must be on a tag some where on my diff. i will look this weekend. prevost recomended a b500. they also gave me a ridiculous qoute. 450000 that must include the drive to the plant ha ha ha

i will look into that tranny. thanks petar

There is a used B-500 trans for sale on e-bay. Wreck take-out. $3500

Allison can dyno that trans so you know its good before install. Or you could use above as a core and get a rebuilt for about $7500-$12000

We may be able to figure out which Diff ratio you have by
your speed and RPM, most likely your transmission has a 1:1 ratio in
5th. What is your top speed at 2100 or your speed at any RPM in 5th gear?
Your ratio probably is 3:73, it could be 3:5 something or 3:36. None of
these ratios will work very well with a 6 speed world transmission, it will
never go into 6th and maybe even 5th depending on the ratio you have. If you
want the world transmission you’ll need something like a 4:5 diff ratio to
    utilize all 6 gears.

I waited awhile to reply. First this is your first conversion. If you swap it is allot of of work and $$$. you will probably drop fuel milage as much as 15%(1 mpg) . So is time to do math. Might just be time to build and enjoy! Look foward to in future going to a four stroke with a 50% increase in fuel milage and a automatic in the future. I’m looking foward to at least 7mpg (hope for better) comapred to my old 5mpg with the 2 stroke automatic. New set up. 60 series 10sp eaton autoshift 4:56 rear gears. Bob

thanks for all the input. i have decided to keep my 5 speed for now and finish the rest of the conversion. went for a drive and dont mind the shifting. and i am getting pretty good mileage for now.(2500 km on a tank)

i have enuff to do without adding to the list

    thanks petar
