Allison code 13 is indicating an “Incorrect ECU Voltage”.

There is also a sub code that will indicate is the voltage is too high or too low.

To get to the sub code you will need to enter the “Diagnostic Mode” by pressing the up and down arrows simultaneously twice (2 times). If there are active codes you can expect to see, d 1, then the main code (which is likely 13), and then the sub code (which is likely 12 or 13 or 23). Let us know which code and sub code is present.

Sub code 12, ECU Input Voltage Low

Sub code 13, ECU Input Voltage Medium Low

Sub code 23, ECU Input Voltage High

As an alternative, if the transmission is seems to be working O.K., you can clear the transmission codes by entering the “Diagnostic Mode” as described above and then pressing and holding the “Mode” button for approximately 10 seconds. That will clear the codes. Then exit “Diagnostic Mode” by simultaneously pressing the up and down arrow keys once.

If the problem persists, the code will reset again and service to remedy the problem is probably required.
