    Transmission Down shift

    When climbing a hill what RPM does your transmission shift to a lower gear

    14L detroit 2006 when i start up a 8 degree climb my bus drops all way down to 27 mph and 1000 RPM before shifting to a lower gear. It then starts to gain speed but very little. My shift pad only shoes 6 and only time i get another indication is when the Jake Brake acutates and it goes to 3 on shit pad.
