Transmission Code
Anyone familiar with a SID 151 code for the Allison Transmission?
I have gotten it twice now check trans light comes up on dash shifter goes from 6 to 1. Power cycle the engine and it goes away and operates fine. Checked fluid and it is correct
Planning on Heading out tomorrow

Update: Output speed sensor was found to be reading incorrectly on the low gears/speeds replaced and seems to be all good!

Sorry Bill, I would have suggested the speed sensor, but it usually causes the tranny to get stuck in 1st gear and you can’t go anywhere. Glad you got fixed up.

Yeah that is what my home mechanic said as well When they hooked it to the computer it was only giving “bad” readings for the low speeds/gears. the rest of it was fine. It was also very intermittent happened about 3 times over about 5 thousand miles and at first I thought I was just rushing my shifting getting out of the garage etc…. Ran out to Branson from STL and didn’t have any issues…. So hopefully that is all it was.
