  • Train Horns

Posted by Ronald on March 20, 2013 at 9:02 am

Ever since I heard them, I wanted them. Now, I do have them. Attached is a photo of them mounted on top of the roof. I could email an 18 seconds video clip. To view it, turn up the volume really high, the sound is awesome! PM me.

Now, the big question is, how many tickets should I anticipate getting for blowing them? … 🙂

    Cheers,

    Ronald

Ronald, very cool. I wouldn’t be concerned with tickets. Between lax noise ordinaces and the police having no clue what the coach was equipped with I wouldn’t care. I’d much rather give a clear and loud warning. With that said, I could see something that loud causing an accident here in Florida where we have too many drivers on the raod that shouldn’t be.

Another great horn source is the marine industry. Here you will find horns that comply with marine requirements that vary by the length of the boat. The longer the boat the lower the required frequency of the horn.

Even if you did blow them, you won’t blow them for an extended period of time. They use so much air you can see the aux pressure drop like a rock. I have a train horm it depletes pressure quickly.

Of course, it’s a Liberty and I’m sure the Elegant Lady comes with one, right!

Nice set of 5 trumpet train horns and location, location, location.

We’ll have to do a train horn blow off at the next rally.
