Now that I am going to install TPMS, question goes out to those who have a Prevost installed system. Prevost offers two different internal TPMS. One mounts to the rim with a band, and the other uses BERU sensors. The one that mounts inside with a band is their earlier offering and seems to be a simpler installation than going with the BERU installation. Anyone have experience with either or both versions, or with an aftermarket system that uses internal sensors. I prefer not to have something attached to the outer valve stem.

    Thanks

We stop frequently when we travel, if i suspect something like a slow leak i run around and get my tire pressures along with using the back of my hand to verify temperatures.

    Mike:

Tell the truth, you stop frequently to pee then check the tires. LOL

TPMS Pffftttt. Take an old wooden broomstick and cut it down to about 2 feet long. Each time you stop give the tire a good thump. This is the best pressure gauge.

Get a good tpms and know before it is a failure due to a leak in the tire

TPMS are worth every penny spent for them.

I was at Tradewinds and a coach came in that the caliper had stuck on. The owner got the warning by temp alert. Pulled over and they caged the brake and he drove to tradewinds. Needed new calipets, rotors bearings, and pads.

Kyle showed a picture of a coach that a fire started in the rear axle area. Stuck caliper, they weren’t so lucky the bus was a loss.

Technology is available to reduce some of the dangers in life. How many relie on smoke detectors, seat belts, sensors for objects around your vehicle..I like to emply all the technology that may lead to another happy day.

George I totally agree with you I have my Tire tracker from AZ sense 2012 on our Foretravel when I got the Royale I had to get 2 more sensors for the tag but my tow car also has sensors, Big thing don’t over tighten sensors. I would not be without my TPS. My dad had 2 buses in his day and carried the billy club under the seat, Because that’s all they had. He would of had a TPS system if they had one.

I have TST band system around the wheels internally. I love it but the batteries can’t be replaced and you must buy new sensors at $100.00 plus about every 5 years.
