towing chain boo-boooooo
will post this in towing also. Confession time and lesson time. I am a heay equipment operator by trade(retired) While towing behind my prevost my own car trailer. I invertently twisted my safety chains causing them to be too tight for sharp corners. = broken trailer hitch. In a perfect world it should have broken chains. Is everything ever perfect. Dick (a board member) came to my aide as we discovered the cracked hitch during a visit . So even someone who new better does not do better. Bob

Don’t know where your hitch cracked, but I’ve broken a couple of them without having anything to do with tight chains.
