Towing a Hybrid
Currently have a jeep Grand Cherokee Eco Diesel, Shes got over 100,000 miles on her and been a great car but it’s time to change. Considering getting a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe. I rented one and they are flat tow able. I disconnected the transfer case on the rental per owners manual and was able to push the car by hand on level ground simulating being towed. Steering wheel doesn’t lock so that’s a check mark too.
My one thought is; Car has regenerative braking, I have the Air Force One braking system which will depress the brake pedal when braking the coach. Will this assist in charging the battery through the regenerative braking system on the car while being towed?
Any other thoughts on this subject is welcome.

You probalby need to add a charge line to tow as I assume it will draw from battery to assist in braking
might want to check with dealer or better yet contact factory support to determine if there is a battery draw

I have been towing a 23 GC 4xe for about 1 year. No problems here whatsoever. I added a charge line for good measure, but I am not sure it is needed, but what could it hurt.
Love the car and the set up and I would do it again inn a flash.
