Tow vehicle electrical from coach
On my tow vehicle behind the coach. The current wiring that works on my Monaco executive is that both the left and right turn signal wire only are energized when you turn the left or right turn signal on. And that the brake and hazard lights when engaged, then uses both the left and right turn signal wires. The parking lights are on a seperate wire. So I have 4 wires, left signal, right signal, parking lights and a ground that connects to the plug-in.
Now. On the back of the h3-45 I have 2 plugs.
Plug 1:
the left and right wires are energized at all times that the ignition is on, and my exec they are not, so on my tow vehicle the brake lights are always on. If I turn on my left turn signal, the left light blinks and the right stays on as a brake light.. If I turn on my right turn signal the right blinks and the left stays on as a brake light. If I do not have a turn signal on both lights are always on as a break light.
Plug 2:
The left and right turn signal works just like my exec. The left and right are only energized when the turn signal is engaged, but the problem that I know have is, that my brake light never engages. I test tall he wires on the plug with a 12v light tester and none of the wires are energized when I push the brake.
So, plug 1 I always have brake lights, and plug 2 I never get brake lights….
Also, on the back of the coach, some of the lights are on when the ignition is on, day or night. And the previous owner has a brake booster at the drivers area.
