Tow plug continuity
I have a 1999 country coach and for some reason I do not have continuity at my rear tow plug. I never had a problem with this before. I have been sitting in a park for two months and tested yesterday with my male plug with lights and nothing. I traced the wires from the plug on coach to gray electrical box above engine searching for a fuse. Does anyone know if the tow plug on the motorhome is fused and if so where is it. I,m going to baking soda clean the female plug on coach today and hopefully that might be it, if not any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just a thought, alot of times the groung wire is the cause.

In the upper engine compartment in the big grey box there is a square card located in the upper left corner of the box.
This card has all the fuses that go to the tow plug.
Also there might be a converter box some where along the right hand tail light in the engine compartment. Along the vertical framing member.
If there is one there, they are usually the problem. Most auto places have them. Some sort of converter since Prevost uses seperate stop and turn signal bulbs instead of one, or something like that.

IIRC, there is a fuse in the ECC cabinet that supplies power to the box that Buddy is referring to.

Steve I wasn’t getting any lights on my truck that I tow and took the end of the cable that plugs into the towed vehecile’s plug off and found a bunch of corrosion, put on a new $90 plug and works like new. Maybe this could be your issue.

Thanks Mark and yes I used some baking soda on the plug on motorhome ,now seems fine. thanks again.
