Touch up paint….
I had read some time ago, mabe 3-5 years about a company or someone that would mix touch up paint. Someone had posted, I think on POG the information.
Can any of you guys think of the post and who it might have been? I should have put it in my diary, but didn’t.

Any good auto paint store can mix you some paint that should be a near perfect match can even put it in a spray can . They have some sort of a hand held machine that they hold over paint on the vehicle and it tell them what to mix to match it . Most do this for free if you drive to them , i assume for a small fee they would come to you.

I tried that with several paint shops in my local area for my Royale and struck out. They didn’t want to fool with it and one said I had to leave the sample and there was a fee to try to match. When I said OK, they then told me they couldn’t do a small touch up quantity.

If your coach has a factory paint job on it, you should be able to get the codes for all the colors on your coach from Prevost Service. The only code I never received was the Prevost Gold used for the trap lines on the patterns on my coach. I have asked several times including on this forum and have never received a response other than they have no code as it is not a stocked item. Here is section 12 of the build record for my coach which details the paints.
If you can get the paint codes, you may well be able to match to DupliColor aerosols.
All of the paint on my coach is Standox (a Dupont product) (as far as I can tell). Here is a contact for dupont:

I have had very good luck with Sherwin-Williams Automotive custom mixing small quantities (usually for spray). I believe that these days, the smallest can is a pint.

We have a paint supply in our town Bens Paint Supply ,, he will do it has for me often . You would need about a 2 in square for about twenty five dollars you get a spray can and a small can of paint ,, or a touch up bottle is a lot less moneyif you send me a sample ill get it and send it back to you dont know how you can send a sample with out the bus but maybee some how Dont go to a body shop go to a paint (auto) supply house that sells sand paper fillers thiners etc

A bit of humor….we didn’t bother with touch up paint,just had the entire bus painted. Now we know the colors

Thanks guys….. just so you know its for Jan Lincoln Avaitor. The back window blew in while driving down a gravel road. The new glass come with part of the body attached to it, so it needs to be painted and me being me wants to do it myself.
I’m thinking it will only need 4-6 oz’s. I will try my local PPG paint store and see what they’ll charge.

Drive it to any paint supplier’s facility. They can shot their color gun at it and give you an exact match. My kid used to work for Sherwin Williams Automotive and they did it all the time.

If you have the original Prevost Factory Build Sheet it also has the paint codes and colors for your bus listed.
