Good Morning everyone,
well we are in Central Iowa and i have never seen so many Tornado warnings pop up at once. we thought about moving and try and get out of the way of all the warnings , But we decided (thought it would be safer to stay put) and head to the shower (bath house) if needed .. we packed a Bag with all of our important paperwork and hope for the best. I grew up in the heartland and don’t ever recall as many warnings and funnel clouds and sights happening all at once … Be safe out there and always be thinking of a safe place to go if needed and to have a plan ..

You did the right thing. Unless you can see a clear way to move away from a storm at a right angle, go to the lowest ground possible (underground is best )or strongest building you can find. On Interstates DO NOT stop under an overpass. You will be sucked out. Most likely one of the reasons you saw so many warnings was because now the radars are much better and the weather people very sensitive.
