  • Tool box installed

Posted by James on October 6, 2019 at 7:07 pm

As most of you know, my Liberty was missing the tool box and slide in the passenger side first bay, the normal Liberty arrangement. Jon sold me his removed slide, thanks again Jon, and I purchased a new somewhat larger Snap on box than what Liberty had originally installed. The slide was made for a 12 1/2″ wide box, I added/welded 2″ to the width to allow a KRA4059FPC, 14 1/2″ wide Snap on box to fit. Below are a few photos. BTW, I went with Black to match my cabinets in the 2nd bay.

Nice job looks good. This is what I did, mine was also missing. Mine is a XL40 so this compartment was perfect for this.

Carrying a full set of tools and enough spare parts to stock the typical Prevost service center is a sure way to never have on the road needed repairs.

I love the slide for easy access… Nice install !!!

Since I have an XL, I used the shallow bay similar to Arts.
