TOAD
I’m considering switching my TOAD up from my current ’14 Jeep GC, which I love, to a 1/2 ton pick-up truck, which is better utilization on the family farm.
Any recommendations?

We tow a 2017 Silverado 1500 Z71. Tows easily, Even with battery disconnect it is less than 5 minutes to hookup.

Ram 1500 is the easiest to transition into neutral.
No battery disconnect to do, no speed limit or having to stop every 4 hours.
Just hook it up, put it in neutral and go.

Ditto on the Ram. With the transfer case in neutral you are good to go. It doesn’t get any easier than that. No steering wheel lock, no fuses to pull, just hitch up and go.

My 2015 Ford F150 Super Crew 4X4 is great. (four door)
Get in push the ignition switch, put in neutral, and turn the 4X4 knob 5 times and turn off ignition and get out.
Nothing to unhook.
Very roomy in the back seat and of course have the bed to use.

I just bought a 2018 GMC Acadia. I love it because it has 6 seats and is a pretty nice car to drive when you unhook it. It tows great!

The Ram is by far the best riding truck out there with the air suspension. The air suspension can also be raised if you are going into rough terrain. It is the only truck on the market that has available heated and cooled front and rear seats and it has the best rear leg room of practically any vehicle out there, as well as reclining rear seats. We are waiting for Ram to start production of the hybrid version and the Ram boxes, and we will order our truck as soon as they are available. Towing will be the same as your GC.

Had our Acadia 4X4 going on 8 years. You’re right Chuck tows great. Three (3) sets of tires, some suspension work, leaking A/C hose is about it.
I’am thinking it might be time for another.
BTW…..All black tow car looks good with your 2018 Liberty colors.

We bought our GC because of how easy our Ram was to tow. Both have the air ride and V8 and both are great driving and riding vehicles. We typically take the Ram to Florida and the GC to work!!

I have had 3 Rams and feel they are great to drive and tow.

We’ll be watching this with some interest. My ‘14 Explorer Sport is getting due for replacement and we’re looking. Honestly, we’ve never considered the Ram, but if the Dodge Durango SRT could be flat towed, I think my search would be over. Too bad…! May wait for the next/gen Explorer. Rumors of 400+ HP. We like an SUV over a pickup for the storage and I like a little performance.
