TOAD Break Away ?
I have read here that Toad Breaking is required by law if it weighs in excess of 3000# in most states. Does the law also require You to have an Emergency Break Away system in place ?

To be clear, each State has its own laws for towing. In California, a supplemental braking system is required. However, some States don’t require it. My AirForce One braking system came with “break-away” breaking, but I can’t speak to other manufacturers.

We have a Blue Ox braking system for the towed. It can be used with or without a breakaway switch.

Well , According to this , The States with a Star REQUIRE a Break Away System. I guess when I finally get a Toad set up , I will be placing a Break away System to it. For Safety of course and peace of Mind. It would be a shame to have any issues with My Insurance Company if something were to happen. I am going to call a few State Police Barracks Tomorrow to verify this. Cause You know it is not always True , Just cause it is posted on the internet ???
