  • Tire Leak & Pressure Pro

Posted by Rodger on July 18, 2017 at 9:39 pm

Not getting a lot of travel time lately, but have been nursing a small air loss in Psgr Side outside drive tire. Over a 2 week time sitting would loose 8-12 lbs air…soaped the rim and Shrader valve as well as Pressure Pro senser and not finding any fault. Finally today , topped off air and went to a local tire center. Seemed the PP senser had very small leak. Removed tire, disconnected power from Pressure Pro Control panel (Per my hero Trucks4U). I took the senser off the tag,and yep, leak showed up again. Now chances of 2 sensers bad is pretty HUGE (coining a phrase) so we broke the tire down and replaced the Shrader Valve…VOILA….no leak and good to go. Close inspection there could be a minor “Owie” on the very tip of the stem that of course contacts the senser.

Outcome-problem now solved (hopefully) and alls well. Will let sit a couple days and check again…thanks agaiin Tom Chilcote for the guidance and advice.

Glad to help Roger, I had seen that before where the valve stem had the slightest imperfection or nick and allowed the PP to leak very slow.
