Tiger Run from the South
Heading to Tiger Run in September. Will be coming from the south. The most direct route is coming in on Rte 9 out of Pueblo. Is this a decent way in with a bus or am I better to go to Denver and in I70? I have driven I70 many times in a car but have never been on Rte. 9. The map looks like there could be some difficult stretches with switchbacks etc. Thanks.

Hey Chris, if I remember right there is a pretty mean pass to climb and decend into Breckenridge from the south.
Just looked on my maps app and couldn’t see anything but I have been in and out that way a couple of times in the truck once and the bus once.
I wouldn’t go that way again if I am right.
I know the I70 route is very easy.
It’s Hoosier Pass at 11,539 feet and very tight.

I’ve come up through Pueblo and then Leadville several times. Easier than 9.
